69% of schools housing the displaced in Gaza damaged by Israeli strikes: UNRWA

JERUSALEM — The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed today that 69% of the school buildings serving as shelters for displaced persons in Gaza have been directly damaged or hit by Israeli airstrikes.

In a brief statement posted on X, UNRWA emphasized that there is no safe place in Gaza. The agency condemned the blatant disregard for international humanitarian law and called for an immediate ceasefire.
